Rute is only a short distance from us, a very friendly old traditional town. Not only is a very famous anis liqueur produced in Rute, but the town also produces it's own Christmas delicacies The town has many small bars (where the local people meet and enjoy Tapas), restaurants and many small shops and is the gateway to the Subbetica National park. The Rute area offers excellent mountain walking and bird watching facilities. Visit Iznajar with its winding narrow streets, 13th century castle & church. |

| The nearest sandy beach is on Lake Iznajar, a 20 minute drive away, where you can swim, sail, canoe or windsurf. During the summer months, pedaloes are also for hire, plus barbecue facilities and fishing. The beach is served by its own beach bar/restaurant. The three great historic cities of Andalucia are all within easy reach. Granada and the Alhambra Palace are just over an hour away. Cordoba, with the great Moorish Mesquita is one hour away and the capital of Andalucia, Sevilla less than two hours. Plus Malaga and its Mediterranean beaches are within easy reach being just one hour away. |

town of Antequera is forty minutes. The nearest
18 hole golf course is also in Antequera and is
30 minutes away. The impressive Sierra Nevada ski resort, which is just outside Granada, enjoys a longer than average season and offers skiing for different levels of ability. There is also a dedicated snowboarding area, sledges for hire and numerous good ski-equipment hire shops. Malaga and Granada airports are approximately one hour away. There is so much to see and do - just relax and enjoy the 'Real Spain' with its history, stunning scenery and friendly people. |
